Sophie’s talent for entertaining is not limited to acting; she’s also a motivational speaker as well as an MC/Programme director for several functions.
Sophie’s talents and skills reach outside the world of television. She has served in many leadership and community roles for many organisations and brands over the years.

Sophie was the face of AG mobile phones, Sophla AG Mobile, which is named after her, in the years 2013/2014. She was also the face, voice and ambassador for Cell C prepaid starter packs in 2014. Additionally, she is the brand ambassador of Cook for Life health products and was recently given the honour of being the brand ambassador for OMO products.
Sophie, in all her glamour, feels strongly about giving back to the community and has embarked on a meaningful and supportive journey with a number of charities over the years. Some of these charities include the Abraham Kriel Children’s Home, Mndeni Children’s Home, Reach for a Dream and Cancer Shavathon, which inspired the launch the Sophie Foundation of Hope. Its focus is to raise funds to ensure orphanages are HOME for the orphans. The plight behind this cause is not surprising, as Sophie, herself, grew up in orphanages and foster homes. She also programs supporting the progression of women and children. She has partnered with ACSA, Summer Place, Vicky Crease Catering, Sizwe Group, Gold Reef City Theme Park, Maponya Mall, Pick n Pay Maponya Mall, Ster-Kinekor Maponya Mall, Tiger Brands and Danone Inkomazi in the past years, to name a few.
Finally, beyond Sophie’s career in entertainment and serving the community with her many charitable plights, her passion for creativity, excellence and working with people are the drives behind her successful event and wedding planning business, which has been operating for over sixteen years. She is also an interior décor consultant. As if that were not enough, given her experience in the entertainment industry, Sophie shifted her career in the arts to another level and started a production company, called SOPHLA MEDIA, in which she produces road shows, top brands as well as reality shows, magazine shoes and big and small big-screen movies. She also partnered with AG Mobile and endeavoured to create a mobile phone line that is cost efficient and easily accessible.
